WHAT WE'RE ABOUT
The following is a brief statement of where we stand biblically and doctrinally, falling in line with the creeds of the early church.

GOD
We believe in one God (monotheism). God has revealed Himself as three distinct persons yet one in essence Deuteronomy 6:4.

GOD THE FATHER
Both the Son and the Spirit are submissive to the Father’s plan. Matthew 26: 39, John 16:13 We see the presence of the Father in the Scriptures during Jesus’ baptism Matthew 3:17 and the transfiguration Luke 9:37.

GOD THE SON
Jesus is fully God and fully man. John 10:30 Born of a virgin Luke 1:34 and is the Sacrificial Lamb Isaiah 53. As per Acts 1:9 and Matthew 26:64, He is the returning King. His ministry, death, and bodily resurrection Luke 24:39 took place in history.

GOD THE SPIRIT
Before the crucifixion, Jesus promised that a Helper would come to His disciples and testify the truth of Jesus’ teachings. John 16:13 Later, after the Helper had descended onto the Church, Peter referred to Him as the Holy Spirit, who has both personhood and divinity Acts 5:3; Acts 5:9. The Holy Spirit draws us to God, convicts us of sin, and after salvation, guides us in true godliness.

HUMANITY and SIN
Humanity was created in the image of God Genesis 1:27, but the first humans chose their way instead of God’s way. They ate of the forbidden fruit and as a consequence turned away from the Living God, resulting in sickness, sin, and death. Thus, all of creation became subject to the Fall Genesis 3:8-19; Romans 8:19-21

ATONEMENT and SALVATION
The Father desires that none should perish, but that all should repent. Thus, when one agrees with the Father (insofar as one’s own personal sin, need for a Savior, and Jesus as that Savior), Christ’s sacrifice cleanses the believer from all unrighteousness John 3:15-18. His sacrifice on the cross was for the atonement for the world.

If we acknowledge that Jesus is Lord and ask the Father to forgive our sins, the Father will look to Jesus instead of us and forgive us based upon Christ, the perfect sacrifice. Our sins past, present, and future are forgiven.

THE BIBLE
God foretold of One who would redeem humanity. Through the passage of time God acted in our world, further expounding on His promises and prophecies according to His plan Hebrews 1:1. Men were led by the Holy Spirit to record these promises, prophecies, and other historical events that pertained to God’s redemptive plan 2 Peter 1:21. This series of prophets organized the materials and kept them set apart as sacred. This is the Old Testament.

The prophets ceased until John, the cousin of Jesus Luke 1: 36. He preached a message of repentance, yet he acknowledged that no one was worthy to untie the sandals of the One to come—Jesus, the Christ, the Second Person of the Trinity. Jesus’ life, ministry, death, and bodily resurrection were recorded in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The Father confirmed these books to be added to the cannon through miracles (Jesus’ life, ministry, death, and bodily resurrection). Jesus selected apostles to continue His ministry.
Luke 24:49 and when the Holy Spirit descended on the Church Acts 2:2-4, they continued the good work. These men penned letters that the Father selected to preserve. The early church preserved the canon. John received the final revelation of the end times thereby closing the canon. There is no further need for continual revelation because God has been fully revealed in the person of Jesus the Christ, God’s greatest mystery revealed.
